Daniel Island

Twenty years ago, stunning Daniel Island could only be reached by boat. In the early 1990s, I-526 was constructed, and in the mid-1990s, the Daniel Island company purchased the island for development. Though the 4,000-acre island is still spacious and mostly traffic-free, it is now home to hundreds of acres of parks, approximately 5,000 residents, three schools, and two professional sports facilities.

Daniel Island Park, one of the subdivisions of the island, is situated on the northern coastand offers upscale living and an exclusive, private lifestyle. There are homesites in a variety of locales around the park, with marsh, water, or golf course views.  Residents of this neighborhood enjoy access to the club’s swim, tennis, fitness, and dining amenities.

Pierce Park, known for its community mentality, is a favorite for families in search of Daniel Island real estate. The tree-lined streets are inviting and the affordable homes are centrally located, approximately equidistant from the island’s schools, childcare facilities, and downtown area.

The neighborhood of Etiwan boasts a 7-acre park with an amphitheatre and recreational area, ideal for families with children, couples with pets, or anyone who loves to stretch their legs amid lush green space. For those with children, one of the area’s most prestigious private high schools, Bishop England, and a state-of-the-art early development childcare center, Daniel Island Academy, are located nearby.
